While in the shipyards, the yacht sank due to extremely adverse weather conditions. POSEIDON was contracted on a lump sum basis to refloat the yacht using two floating cranes of total lifting capacity 270tons. The refloating operation required delicateness in order to avoid the yacht being further distressed as it was lying on its SS side with her keel very close to the berth. The operation was completed in three days and the yacht was delivered safely afloat at the berth of the shipyards.
