On her way from Piraeus Ancorage to Ag. Theodorous Roads, the laden M/T “AGIA ZONI I” with some 438,6mt of fuel oil & 1500lt lubricants onboard, ran aground on rocks, east of Cape Kokchi, South of Salamis Island. As a result, she suffered amongst various deformations and bents, a crack of approx. 70x20cm on her flat in way of PS No 5 ballast tank while her rudder and propeller also sustained damages. POSEIDON was contracted under LOF terms for the refloating operation. Antipollution, underwater patching up and pumping out works were rendered to M/T “AGIA ZONI I”, that was successfully refloated and safely redelivered to her owners at Perama.
