The fully laden PANAMAX “SEA FLOWER” ran aground during transiting South bound Suez Canal on January 9thth. Further to successful refloating efforts made by her crew and local contractors’ assistance, she was shifted to Suez anchorage for further inspections and surveys by her class and local authorities to ascertain bottom damage. Poseidon was directly contracted by her GREEK SHIPOWNERS, MESSRS “PRIMEROSE SHIPPING”, on January 12th to carry out the underwater temporary repairs. Following a dive survey performed on her damaged flat bottom area, all mud/rocks embedded into the cracks’ openings were removed, cracks’ surfaces cleaned and flat bottom area patched up. She was the safely redelivered to her owners to continue her voyage to final destination.
