After experiencing severe hogging and hull parted/detached at Suez port, the two afloat hull sections of the M/T "ELLI" were handed over in international waters (Gulf of Aden) to POSEIDON under 'BIMCO TOWHIRE 2008' terms for their towing, mooring and safeguarding on a 24hr basis into Aden inner anchorage. Two more local tugs were hired by POSEIDON to assist the towing and mooring /anchoring process of both sections to devoted buoys in close distance from ashore / main Aden port entrance / breakwater. Continuous monitoring of hull sections draft marks and obtaining of measurements/ullages from all vessel's tanks.
